Katie is the fiber dyer at Hilltop Cloud. “I specialize in unique fibers,” Katie says. “I carefully select wool for different purposes, sometimes add in other fibers, I then dye it in my own unique one-of-a-kind colors. I also curate blends using commercially dyed fibre. I try to create complex multi-tonal colors that end up as beautiful yarns. I test spin everything myself, and spend lots of time sourcing and trying out new ideas.”
