California dyer Patricia grew up in Yucatan, Mexico. “Coming from the tropics, I was vulnerable to the cold weather of the north. … I started knitting 20 years ago, and I always thought of spinning as a natural addition,” Patricia says. “I like to think about the histories intertwined in a skein of yarn. The people, the animals, the places, even the weather and my thoughts. All becomes present and important while I prepare the fiber before I spin it. All the steps become very relaxing to me because there is no way to rush them.” This fiber is gorgeous. Go get some.
