Tina Whitmore is the dyer and designer behind Freia Fine Handpaints. “I don’t always know what I’m going to make when I start to create something new,” Tina says. “I tend to just go to my shelves of yarn and pull out a few skeins, putting colors next to each other, and letting combinations dictate what the next color will be. As I do this, I start thinking of what those colors look like to me, is it a scarf, a sweater, mittens?”
