Sassy Black Yarns

Favorite?

“My yarn loving journey first started in 1998,” says Connecticut dyer Lakisher at Sassy Black Yarns. “After joining the military, one of my many duty stations was in Seoul, Korea. I had the opportunity to tour a fabric mill and fell in love immediately. … I love making scarves and shawls, but I needed something more. I decided to give dyeing a try, and immediately fell in like/lust/love with it. A co-worker told me that I should turn my love of yarn into a business, because I would be the perfect one to put extra sass in it.” I especially appreciate how crisp Lakisher’s colorways are. Look at the Lemon Drop below, to see what I mean: bright white and bright lemony yellow.
