Graphic Dyeworks is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The whole shebang is run by Kate Howland, a professional graphic designer by day and your Yarn Boss + Dye Slinger by night. “My world is fueled by curiosity, color, and design. So, Graphic Dyeworks is what happens when you take a fiber-obsessed graphic designer, add a heaping scoop of technicolor science, and stir. My happy place is where science, color, and the fiber arts collide,” says Kate. Bases are cheekily named for graphic design elements, including the Lorem and Ipsum lines. Colorways take their names from everything from pop culture to gemstones (my favorites).
