Felsted Fleece

Gotland locks in more than a dozen shades.

Felsted Fleece is operated from Brick House Farm, a Smallholding of around nine acres, just north of Chelmsford, in Essex. Neil and Cara have worked to run the farm as an environmentally sensitive, sustainable smallholding, keeping rare breed pigs and sheep. “We chose Gotlands specifically for their fleece, which, if properly shorn, provides excellent locks, tops and bats, suitable for a range of craft uses,” they say. “We also process wool in the grease. We scour, card, dye and dye-to-order.”
